PBS offers free download of "The Presidents"...

PBS has The Presidents (part of the American Experience) available as a free download. My personal favorite episode is their documentary on FDR. This is quiet a good deal considering the box set costs $130
I am definitely downloading these.
On a side note, PBS could’ve saved a ton on bandwidth costs if they distributed these (totally legal) files via...

Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.
It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go.

This is incredible, and doesn’t cost $160,000. Free lectures from Harvard, Berkeley, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, and Yale, covering a ton of subjects, for absolutely free.
More than lectures, AE offers entire courses. This Yale course on the American novel, for instance, spans 25 lessons.
